Delores has serveral Grandchildren and many more Greatgrandchildren. On September 30th 2019 at 9:30 a.m. Delores took her last breathe. She was 91 years old, she had a long and beautiful life. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan! Go Braves!! Even at the end when her memories would get mixed up she knew she loved the Braves. Only thing she loved more than the Braves was Paul Powell they met after her and Jack split in the late 60s. He was her soulmate, her dance partner, and best friend. Dee was an amateur radio personality in Richmond, Virginia KI4QZ doing late night emergency announcements and such by the late 60's. In the 70's her and Paul were competitive ballroom dancers, they shared a love not only for each other but for music and dance. She loved the Blues, artists like Peggy Lee, Doris Day, Donna Summer and Tom Jones. By the 90's she ran an exciting magazine as an Editor and in turn became a grammar connoiseur at which she never turned down the opportunity to correct anyone's grammar, no matter who you were. Even her beloved Republican President Donald Trump would get a few lashes for his grammar through the television. Delores spoke her mind, it's what you either loved or hated about her, but either way Dee didn't really give it too much thought. She was who she was. She was happy with that and she is at peace now because of that. She is known for her quick wit and her infamous sayings, like "keep it simple, stupid." She enjoyed the simple things, the times watching The Tomas Crowne Affair, films like Casablanca, Victor Victoria and anything baseball related. Playing cards with friends in Haines City, Florida. Spending time with her family and enjoying the moments they shared together over the years. Watching her grandchildren grow and have their own children and seeing them grow for longer then most get to have their great grand mothers. Delores Duck Knox didn't want her passing to be made into a big deal, no big service and to just be cremated and spread across the rose garden and out in the Florida ocean were the love of her life Paul Powell was scattered nearly ten years ago. She just wanted everyone to be notified of her passing and that she was at peace now and finally with her life partner dancing in the sky.
