DelMario Lavar Gross was born on June 27, 1986. He was not one-dimensional or average by any means. He managed to see the light of possibility in every obstacle or situation with his faith in the Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. He found limitless joy in the most overlooked places of existence. Through his love of football, he learned the importance of determination and hard-work; and was an avid Oakland Raiders fan. DelMario was someone that knew the truth of the world: with God and good Chinese food on your side, anything was possible. DelMario attended La Cheim High School in Richmond, California. He ventured into auto shop classes and developed a passion and love for engines, and never gave up on his dream of becoming an auto mechanic. He was a living testament to the power of a smile. The Almighty blessed him with a grin that could rival the sun on a good day. He often used that very same smile to charm his way out of trouble as a child. His mother, Livonia remembers him fondly, not as he is, but as he was. A kind, funny, and devoted young man. DelMario is survived by his mother Livonia Stewart, younger sister, Karina Patton, his grandparents Ralph and Shirley, and a large extended family. He will always be loved and never forgotten.
