David Ybarreta

Dave had a special sense of humor, he was funny often in a sarcastic way. He had a very quick wit and was

always a fun person to hang out with.

Sadly Dave’s long illness caught up with him on November 6, 2024. He died at home.

Dave was born in San Francisco, California on March 6th, 1943. His parents were Rose and John Ybarreta. His

only brother Donald passed away some years ago.

Dave had three children, Mark with his first wife. In 1973 he married Else Marie and they had two daughters,

Kirstin and Danielle. He was also a grandfather to Chris and Will and great-grandfather to Elijah.

Over the years he developed many friendships that endures to this day. His childhood years he had a group of

friends that are still friends to this day. During his adult years he often played cards with friends.

Dave was an outdoorsman, he loved to fish and hunt. The latter was mostly by observing the wildlife through his

scope. He was a lover of animals and through the years had both dogs and cats.

Dave was also an accomplished cook and would often prepare wonderful meals for family and friends. The

Thanksgiving turkey was always his job.

Dave was much loved by his wife, children, grandchildren and his one great grandchild.

At Dave’s request there will be no service. There will however be a Celebration of Life in the early part of 2025.
