Darline Lavern Mckee

Darline LaVerne McKee passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 in Fair Oaks, CA at the age of 74. Darline was born on July 26, 1945 at O’Connor Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, CA to Delois George and Pauline Whitley and was later adopted by Lloyd Gravatt. Darline was a 1963 graduate of Campbell High School and later completed her training to become a licensed Beautician. She married Kenneth McKee in April of 1968 and recently celebrated their 52 nd wedding anniversary. Ken and Darline lived in the San Jose/Cupertino area with their two children Tonya and Terry. She worked as a Beautician in Sunnyvale, CA for over 30 years before retiring with her husband and moving to Gold River, CA in 1997. During her retirement, she enjoyed playing bingo at the local Elks Lodge, taking their classic ’55 Chevy to car shows with their car club, going on camping trips with the Campers Club, taking casino bus trips to play the slot machines with her friends, and spending time with her two grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Whitley; her birth father, Delois George; and her adoptive father, Lloyd Gravatt. She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth McKee; her son, Terry McKee; her daughter, Tonya Lange and her husband, Jeff Lange; her grandchildren Jeffrey Lange and Megan Lange; her half- sister Barbara Frederickson; and her half-brother Larry Gravatt. A small, family funeral service is being held at 1:00pm, Friday, May 1, 2020 at East Lawn Mortuary. Reverend Todd Peperkorn will officiate.
