In Loving Memory of Cleophus Cotton
March 3, 1945 – February 10, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Cleophus Cotton, who left this world on February 10, 2025, at the age of 79 in Sacramento, California. Born on March 3, 1945, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, he lived a life defined by service, curiosity, and unwavering kindness
.A proud veteran, Cleophus dedicated 20 years of his life to the United States Air Force, serving his country with honor and commitment. After retiring from the military, he continued his service in a different capacity, working for the State of California.
Beyond his career, he was a lifelong seeker of knowledge, drawn to history, science fiction, philosophy, and religion. He found joy in exploring the mysteries of the universe, always searching for deeper understanding. A natural tinkerer, he could take anything apart and put it back together, always fascinated by how things worked. His love of learning was matched only by his love for others—his kind heart and selflessness were felt by all who knew him.
Above all, he was a selfless and loving husband, father, and friend, always putting others before himself. He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years and two beloved children.
Though he is no longer with us, his wisdom, kindness, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Rest in peace, Cleophus. Your journey here may have ended, but your spirit and love will remain with us forever.
