Born to Edna and Fred Umberger in Sacramento CA on October 4th 1941 Charlene (83) was raised in the Salvation Army Church and was extremely dedicated to her faith as a Christian and the Salvation Army Core.
- Charlene was a middle child and had 2 brothers Leland and Kenny along with 3 sisters June, Carol, and Ruby. She grew up close with all her siblings and her parents. Through her love for God and the Salvation Army she received a job at Camellia House - a nursing home for the sick and elderly and eventually worked her way up to Director of Camellia House until the time which she retired.
During her time at Camellia House around 1960 she met and fell in love with her future husband Raymond. They were soon Married in 1962 and welcomed 2 beautiful girls Terri and Cynthia. Raymond and Charlene were married for over 62 years when the Lord called her home. Charlene never met anyone she didn't like. She truly cared for all and would give the shirt off her back to help anyone in need. She lived a wonderful life surrounded by family and those who cared for her and will be deeply missed.
