Catherine Mary Smith

Catherine Mary Smith, 61 of Sacramento passed away peacefully on Friday morning, September 24th, 2021 in Sacramento, CA. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Friday, October 8th 2021 at Sierra View Funeral Chapel. 6201 Fair Oaks Blvd. Carmichael CA 95608 Celebration of life will be the following day, Saturday, October 9, at Foothill community center located at 5510 Diablo drive, Sacramento CA. Catherine was born at Mercy Hospital in Downtown Sacramento to Anthony Joseph and Mary Dolores Valadez on February 29th 1960. She grew up and went to school in Fair Oaks CA. Married her high school sweetheart, Mike Smith, for 18 years. Later in life she married the love of her life Darrell Johnson on March 18th 2019. She worked as an underwriter for AAA for 37 years; while pursuing her life passion in massage therapy. In 1985, her healing hands took her to learn about Reflexology, later pursuing Reiki and Bowen as well as obtaining 24 other certificates in body work. After leaving AAA in 2017, she dedicated herself to her healing awareness and holistic health therapies. She would use her body work skills and intuitive abilities that allowed her to identify and treat areas in the body that needed healing. She was truly an amazing therapist. Catherine is preceded in death by Darrell Johnson- Husband, Mary “Lola” Valadez-Mother, Tony Valadez-Father, Ramona Delores-sister and David Albert-brother Catherine is survived by her daughters, Michelle Parsons and Tiffany Ferguson and their husbands Chris Parsons and Pat Ferguson. Her Grandchildren; Josiah Johnson, Logan Parsons, Justin Ferguson, Hailey Ferguson, and Breanna Ferguson. Catherine’s nurturing personality has touched the lives of many family, friends and clients. She will be greatly missed, and never forgotten.
