Carolyn Lydia Turner

July 16, 1951 — March 10, 2023

Carolyn Lydia Freeman-Turner was born on July 16th, 1951 in San Jose, California to father Beverly Eugene and mother Emily Frances.

She was raised in Morgan Hill and attended Live Oak High School though the late 60’s. On February 8th, 1975 she was married to Robert Vincent Turner Jr, they would celebrate 48 years of marriage and raise two children: Shawna Lynn and Robert Vincent III. Three grandchildren would follow Nickole Anne Turner, Teresa Mary Lampkin and Alexandria Grace Turner.

She loved to stay social with friends, coworkers and enjoyed her extended family’s large holiday gatherings. She  loved to spend weekends riding bikes with her family through the Morgan Hill area. She would work as a mail carrier for The United Postal Service until a on job accident in 1987. An accident that would alter her physical life but never dampened her love for life or keeping active.

She was deeply involved in church both as a member of the congregation and helping to volunteer her free time whenever possible. She lead her High School Class Reunion as the head of the committee by being one of the most in touch and in contact students of her class.

After 52 years in Morgan Hill the couple decided to buy a house in the mountains of Placerville, Ca in the fall of 2003. They would remain there until she entered Heaven on March 10th, 2023.

She leaves behind siblings: (sisters) Jeanette,Barbie and (brothers) Jimmy, Kenny…a favorite aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
