Carmen Ann Denham, 90, Carmichael, CA. Passed on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Carmen Denham. Carmen had an enormous heart and was an extremely caring and giving person to all who she came into contact with. For Carmen, family came first and foremost. She was a caretaker to her brother and sister always ensuring that each were cared for no matter what. She was committed to spending her time taking care of both in their time of need. Carmen was a Stage IV Cancer Survivor.
Carmen worked in the healthcare industry for the entirety of her career. She retired from Kaiser in 1999 after 19 years of service. Carmen's passions included spending time with family, floral arranging, tending to her flowerbeds and outdoor plants. Carmen was a devout Catholic and passed her religious beliefs to her 5 children.
Carmen was born on December 7, 1934, in Fresno, CA. Daughter of Pedro and Nicolasa Najera. Carmen was one of three children, brother Anthony Najera, and sister Petra Louise Woodard. Carmen was mother to 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Carmen was married to her late husband, Eugene Denham, for 43 years.
Carmen is survived by her children and their spouses, Eddie Lugo and Yolanda Robles, Deborah and Garth Rosenberg, Stephen and Cynthia Lugo, Deanna and Buddy Eaves, and Virginia (Ginger) Spencer.
Carmen's grandchildren: Nicole Sorondo, Brandy Momeyer, Sara Lackey, Amber Bradley, Ashley Christiansen, Stephen Eugene Lugo, Alexandra Finn, Hannah Eaves, Ryan Rosenberg, Brie Hengl and Brandon Stewart.
Carmen's great grandchildren; Harper Leno, Caitlyn Momeyer, Maya and Grayson Lackey, Westyn, Cameron, Christian, and Kathryn Bradley, Mason and Mackenzie Lugo, August Finn, Colton and Kate Hengl, Jenna, Reagan and Ethan West-Stewart.
Carmen is survived by her sister Petra Louise Woodard of Sacramento, CA. pre-deceased by her husband, Eugene Denham, and brother, Anthony Najera.
Memorial service to be held on February 20, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Carmichael, CA at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Fair Oaks Cemetery, Fair Oaks, CA.
