Byron Riley Ingersoll
December 18, 1933 - April 4, 2024
Byron Riley Ingersoll was born on December 18,1933 in Boulder, Colorado. He was the son of Merle Ingersoll and Ruth Niccum. He was one of three children. His brother Ace and sister Lavonna have since passed.
In March of 1954, Bob joined the US Army-Air, his service time included the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Dad retired from the military as a Staff Sergeant First Class E-7, after he served our country proudly and with honor for 20 yrs.
After retiring from the military in 1974, he moved the family from Germany to sunny California. He then was hired at the US Postal Service in Carmichael, California. He worked as a mailman/carrier for 25 years and then also retired from the postal service. Dad has enjoyed his retirement and traveled the world with his wife Nancy.
Bob is survived by his children; Lisa, Corey, Paul, Diane and their spouses. He has 12 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren that he was so proud of. Dad has a multitude of friends, all of who will miss him immensely. His wife, Nancy, son Russell, son Bryan and his two grandsons, Logan and JR have preceded him in death.
We love you Dad, and though you are no longer physically with us, I know that your spirit walks beside us and your memories and spirit will forever remain alive in our hearts.
