On November 19, 2019, Brenda Dee Jenkins lost her fight with cancer at the young age of 54. She passed on her own terms; peacefully and happily. She was a very passionate woman, with an affinity for photography, cooking, and crocheting. She lived for her family and her career at Lifetouch. Her light shone brighter and brighter with the birth of each grandchild, whom she cherished each one dearly. Her desire to tend to and provide for those she loved is only surpassed by her love for cooking. Her strive for perfection in her cooking gave her the drive and creativity to make amazing meals that could never be achieved by others. Brenda was born in Tecumseh, Michigan on March 21, 1965 to Raul Flores and Florence Ellen (Penland) Flores. She is survived by her loving husband David Simpson, her mother Florence, her siblings Rosie Patterson, Anthony Smylodon, and Michelle VanTent. Brenda has four children; Renee Cooper (husband Adam Cooper, children Jordan Day-Jenkins and Dwyane Cooper), Jr (Kendall) Jenkins (wife Brittany Jenkins, children Emmalynn, Kendall, and Charlotte Jenkins), Jessika Walters (husband Nathan Walters, children Taylor and John Cramsey), and Sara Valencia (husband Mario Valencia, children Connor Norwood and Mario Valencia Jr). She is survived, also, by numerous family and friends, all of whom are incredibly lucky to have known such a beautiful soul. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you consider a donation to offset the cost of medical bills and funeral expenses. Donations can be made at paypal.com/naydogg33.
