Born on April 10, 1938 to Charles Mont McBrideand Ercial Millie Bullock McBride,Mrs. Betty Lynne Paredes passed away peacefully at her son's home in Yuba City on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the age of 82. Mom, always a caregiver, would ask us about having food on the table, money in our pockets and coats for keeping warm. She was the first to welcome new people to the neighborhood and mother to all of the kids on the block while growing up in North Highlands. Laughter was a big part of who she was, and right up to the very end was making jokes and laughing hysterically. We watched The Birdcage with Robin Williams and Nathan Lane, and had the best time with her. She was cool and very accepting of all people. She loved nature, supported Veterans, and was an avid Bingo player. She spent a lot of time with her best friend, Gina Williams, waiting to yell "BINGO!" or "OSHIT!" when someone else yelled first. Betty leaves behind to honor her memory her children: Michael Lee Paredes; Terry Lee (Kim) Paredes; Cindy Paredes-Banville (Thomas) and Charles Alan (Lisa) Paredes; siblings: Charles Ross (Maureen) McBride and Jennie Lee McBride; grandchildren: Marie (Cory); Christina Lynne (Jeremy); Samantha Anne; Anthony Arturo (Brittany); Joshua Michael and Katelynne Jean (Garet); great-grandchildren: Joseph Alan; Alyssa Kendra; Brooklynne Maria; Scarlett Lydia; Abigail Claire and one on the way! Mom was an honorable and beautiful person; she will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered. We all know her guardian angels have met her with open arms and she is laying the groundwork for all of us to follow.
