Barbara Black (néeSavelli), 84, of Sacramento, California passed away surrounded by love on May 7, 2022. Barbara spent her early childhood in San Francisco, later moving to Sacramento with her beloved mother, father, and grandmother. After high school, she briefly resided in Hawaii before returning to her hometown of Sacramento. Barbara was an esteemed senior claims liability adjuster; after retirement, she began a second career in fine jewelry. She loved musicals, traveling, and taking cruises to far-off destinations. She was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother who adoringly supported her grandchildren's endeavors. Barbara was charming, funny, and had an impeccable eye for fashion. She was a cherished friend and neighbor, having lived in her home for over 50 years. Barbara spent her final days under the care of her wonderful brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Lynn Savelli. She is predeceased by her parents (Mary and Elliott Savelli), husband (Robert Black), and granddaughter (Meghan Ford). Barbara is survived by her daughters (Susan Molvik and Debbie Utterback), her brother and sister-in-law, three grandchildren (Stephanie Ford-Scheimer, Maclain Utterback, and Marissa Utterback), her great-grandson (AJ Scheimer), and other loved ones. She will be missed by all.
