Arno Franz Dietzler, 62, died on August 15, 2016 surrounded by the love of his family. Arno was born in Germany to Herbert and Anna Marie Dietzler. He loved to spend time with his family and his family loved him deeply. Arno was an extremely loving, thoughtful and devoted husband to his wife Rebecca. He is survived by his wife Rebecca Dietzler of Sacramento; his father, Herbert Dietzler of San Francisco; sisters Birgit Williams of Martinez, Melissa Dietzler and Jeanine Poquis both of San Francisco; Brothers Duane Poquis of Fremont and Darryl Poquis of Los Angeles. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who will miss him greatly. He was known as a gentle giant of a man who was kind and generous. He loved to laugh and it brought him great joy to bring laughter to others. He loved to be outdoors in nature and he was passionate about fishing. Many relationships with family and friends were forged and strengthened during fishing trips with Arno. Arno was fortunate to live and work in many different places during his life but some of the best times for him were the years he spent working in Yosemite National Park. He developed lifelong friendships there, was married there, and is a part of many happy memories in the hearts of people who knew him. A Celebration of Life in honor of Arno will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 am at his home. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
