Antonia "Toni" Maria (Mena) Salazar

February 15, 1942 — December 5, 2023

Antonia “Toni” Marie (Mena) Salazar was  born on February 15, 1942 in San Diego, California. She married Melvin Heath in 1960 and moved to Woodland, California where she raised four children. She worked for Woodland Memorial Hospital in housekeeping for 20+ years. After her retirement, she enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, going to the casino, spending time with family and friends, and traveling. Whether to the beach, San Diego, Oregon, Arizona, or Disneyland, Toni was always ready for any adventure with her family. Toni lived in a senior complex where she had many friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand to her friends and neighbors. She hosted bingo for seniors in her complex and volunteered for the Yolo Food Bank at her complex to help distribute food to the residents.

She will always be remembered for her humor, spunkiness, and her outgoing personality. She could always bring a smile or laugh to anyone and always appreciated a good joke or funny story.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Gaylene Heath and her brothers Mike Mena and Gilbert Barrios. She is survived by her three children Mike Heath (Chere), Diana Heath, Mark Heath (Patricia), 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and three siblings Victor Mena, Ramon Mendoza (Rosalie), Ysabel Flores (Frank), numerous nieces and nephews, and her cat Nero. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
