AnnaJean Swatzel Berry (May 12, 1930-November 11, 2015). Wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and friend, AnnaJean passed away peacefully of natural causes on November 11, 2015 in Lincoln, California. She was 85 years old. AnnaJean was born on May 12, 1930 to Horace ""Mugs"" and Elise Swatzel in the San Joaquin Valley town of Newman. She graduated from Orestimba High School, attended UC Berkeley and received her teaching credential from San Jose State College. For many years she was a member, teacher and employee at the Christian Community Church in San Jose. In her later years she moved to Truckee to help her widower son Jeff raise his children. She was a beloved member of the senior community in her adopted mountain town. Blessed with creativity, AnnaJean took advantage of every class, activity and excursion offered. She began painting in her 80's and was a prolific producer of beautiful watercolors. AnnaJean loved singing, playing the piano and travel; she was always ready for the next adventure. AnnaJean touched the hearts and souls of all who knew her. She was fiercely devoted to her family and was a beloved Nana to her grandchildren and ""GG"" to her great grandchildren. AnnaJean is survived by her son Jeff Berry and his partner Julie Kennedy and son Kent Berry and his wife Jill, four grandchildren; Lea, Kendall, Eric and Abigale and two great-grandchildren; Patience and Adelle. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday December 13th at Mountain Bible Church, 23946 Summit Road, Los Gatos.
