Ann Dorothy Seward Barber passed away peacefully Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Carlton Plaza in Sacramento, CA. She was born March 10, 1937 to the late Donald and Dorothy Melcher Seward and preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rodney G. Barber and a daughter, Amy Barber. Growing up in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, she graduated from Arkadelphia High School and received a B.A. in English from Ouachita Baptist University. Ann was known for her love of music and animals, especially dogs, and adopted quite a few rescued dogs and cats over the years. Ann is survived by her daughter Deborah of New York City and son Donald of Athens, GA, three sisters, Jean Cahill and Helen Davis of Bentonville, AR, Patricia Mace of Sanford, NC and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Bentonville, AR.
