Alice Nadine Gamet

Nadine Gamet was a joy to all who knew her, whether in her role as grocery checker, mother, grandma or friend. She had a contagious laugh and beautiful smile that would light up a room, and she gave the best hugs. Her passions were her family, church, choir, and tending to her abundant garden of flowers. In retirement she enjoyed painting, piano lessons, tai chi classes, gardening and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was born to Violet and Dennis Needham in Randolph, Iowa and graduated from Bedford High School also in Iowa. Though she lived in California most of her life, she remained a midwestern girl at heart. She was a member of a close-knit gang of nine lifelong best friends who spent decades together sharing meals, playing games, having parties and just celebrating life. They were a special group and will be celebrating together again. Left to remember Nadine are her children: Linda Watts and partner Richard, Mark Gamet and wife Eleanor, Karen Jacobson and husband Jeff. Grandchildren: Delano Watts Jr., Chrissy Lefever, Maria Gamet, and Katharine Jacobson. Great grandchildren: Kristopher, Jordan, Kiersten, Jaycee, Philip, Elizabeth, Avery, Bryan, and Robert. Nadine was preceded in death by daughter Sandra Schwall in 2007 at the age of 47. Nadine will be remembered as a kind and loving woman with a positive outlook on life, a great sense of humor, and who was quick to lend a hand and care for others in need. She will be remembered and missed by so many.
